This tour is really unique with an introduction of interesting sites related to the ancient prehistory. There are many sites in the country shows that Homo erectus inhabited Mongolia from 800,000 years ago. Also it is possible to examine the findings, monuments, burial mounds related to ancient periods.
Bayankhongor province is rich with amusing caves that shows numerous rock paintings related to the prehistory period. For example you will have a great chance to see White cave which is 40 meters long and famous for its beautiful crystal and trace of ancient people who were living about 650000 years ago. This tour also includes many beautiful places such as Orkhon waterfall, boundless Gobi desert, Khogno Khan Mountain and the first Buddhist monastery Erdenezuu in Karakorum.

Itinerary
Day 1 | Ulaanbaatar city sightseeing
Destination Mongolia team will greet you at International Airport "Chinggis Khaan" and transfer to a hotel. City sightseeing begins with visiting Gandan Monastery, a center of Mongolian Buddhism. Lunch will be served in Mongolian restaurant specialized in barbecue. We will also visit the Zaisan hill and Museum of Natural History, exhibiting the skeletons, bones, eggs of dinosaurs. (L, D)
Day 2 | Trekking in Yol Valley
You will take a flight to South Gobi, a land of Rocky Mountains, sand dunes, and vast plains. We will explore by trek the Yol Valley, fantastic place with high, Rocky Mountains, where it has cooling ice and glaciers till in hot time of Gobi desert and it is situated in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain, which is tale of great Altai Mountain Ranges. Day 3 | Bayanzag Flaming Cliff / Khongor Sand dune
Excursion on foot the Bayanzag a sandy cliff is one of the places famous for its booty such as skeletons, dinosaur eggs of the team of Roy Chapman Andrews, American scientist (1920). We will join Khongor sand dunes in the evening. (B, L, D)
Day 4 | Sand dune Khongor
We will spend the day in Khongor sand dune area which extends 180 km long. The early morning climb upthe dune to enjoy the beautiful color of orange sunrise to make the picture of the river that borders the sand dune. Afternoon, we will visit camel breeding family and get familiar with their lifestyle and taste their delicious dairy products. (B, L, D)
Day 5 | White Cave / Valley of Rock Paintings
Today we will drive to the Valley of Rock Paintings. On the way to get there we will stop by White Cave which is 40 meters long and famous for its beautiful crystal and trace of ancient people who were living about 650000 years ago. (B, L, D)
Day 6 | Ikh Bogd Mountain
Travel around Ikh Bogd Mountain which is 3957 m above the sea level. Visit nomad family to experience their lifestyle. In the evening we will set up our tents in the desert area under the starry sky. (B, L, D)
Day 7 | Bayankhongor Province / Hill Khul Saya
On the way to the hill Khul Saya, you will discover the capital Bayankhongor province. Visit the small local museum and the Buddhist monastery. Arrival in Hill Khul Saya in the afternoon, enjoy a pristine beauty of the river Tui and we will have an opportunity to spend an unforgettable time with the nomads in their specialties tasting dairy products at their home. Day 8 | Tamir River
We will continue the road to the valley of Tamir River, a remarkable place, a few yurts of nomads in the steppe at the foot of green mountains, covered by larch forests. Hiking and multiple activities are available. (B, L, D)
Day 9 | Zaya Gegeen Monastery / Tsenkher Hot Spring
Visit the ethnographic museum in the building of Zaya Gegeen monastery which located in capital city of Arkhangai province, where a monument attests to the antiquity of Buddhism in Mongolia. Continue our journey to join the Tsenkher hot spa. The camp offers tourists by a delicious spa bath surrounded by wild nature. (B, L, D)
Day 10 | Orkhon Valley / Waterfalls
Our journey continues through the Orkhon valley. This area is full of historically significant places. There have been many archeological findings, especially of ancient Turkic shrines, inscribed monuments, and rock statues. This area has therefore been internationally protected as Steppe Natural Zone. Afternoon hiking around famous Orkhon valley and take a great impression of the waterfall was formed by a unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20,000 years ago. (B, L, D)
Day 11 | Karakorum city / Erdene Zuu Monastery
In the morning we'll drive to Karakorum city. Historic Karakorum city was founded by the Chinggis Khaan during the 13th century. We will visit the Erdene Zuu monastery, the first Buddhist monastery of Mongolia which built in 1586. (B, L, D)
Day 12 | Khogno Khan
The journey takes us to remarkable place Khogno Khan, where there is sand dune, lake and extremely splendid rocky mountain.During our extraordinary trek around the mountain, we will visit the ruins of a Buddhist Monastery which was built in 17th century. Mountain climbing and horse riding is available. (B, L, D)
Day 13 | Ulaanbaatar
When we back in Ulaanbaatar, visit Bogd Khan's Winter Palace Museum, exposed statues, paintings of gods, created by Mongolian artists late in 19th century and many interesting gifts received by Bogd Khan. Enjoy traditional show in the evening and farewell dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 14 | Departure
Your marvelous trip ends with a transfer to the airport for your departure. (B)
